Karin Clark Edmiston, MA

Karin is new to Madison, a mere two-year resident. She has a Masters in Transpersonal Psychology from the Graduate School of Holistic Studies at John F. Kennedy University in Orinda, CA, where she specialized in healing the whole person. In addition, Karin has a graduate degree in Education and a BA in Sociology and English from UC Berkeley. She had a ten year private practice as a counselor in California before having her daughter and then moving to Madison with her family.

Karin began specializing in integrative treatment for fertility after her own unsolicited ride on the fertility challenge roller coaster. In order to find solutions to her own “infertility” after being given a very grim prognosis of ever having a child, she began researching everything she could find. 12 months or so later she was pregnant, had a healthy nine month pregnancy and gave birth to Chelsea in December of 1996! She was five weeks from her 43 rd birthday at that time.

She has been a Keynote Speaker at the Northern California Resolve and presented at the Bay State Resolve Conference (Boston, MA.) She has written a workbook on the subject, called Healing Fertility, Restoring Sanity, has had articles in National magazines in the field and is currently working on a book entitled, Conceiving Health: Finding Balance and Sanity on the Journey Toward Family. A Three Step Plan. She is very excited to be a part of the Madison Community and is almost as excited about the birth of the Center as she was about Chelsea, now eight!
